Felt like playing around this morning. Put a candle against a couple pieces of black foam core board and took a few shots. Next time I’ll spend the time and use a tripod though. On all of the shots, especially the smoke ones, you can tell that there are some shake issues.
This is from about 18 months ago, but I still like it. We took a quick trip up to Austin and ran out to the hike and bike trails on Town Lake to take some pictures.
I’ve lived in Houston for a little over 5 years and just heard about this park a few weeks ago. It’s near to the Memorial Park area, and is probably part of the same system. Odd feeling walking through the woods and hearing Houston traffic.
Ok, so it really wasn’t a rainstorm. But ‘flowers wet from the sprinkler’ just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
This is an image from last year that I found while going back through my images. The color version was lacking, so I had skipped over it on first pass. But after converting to black & white, I found I really like the image.
