Adorama has a underwater with a digital camera on top.  It’s a 5 megapixel and has crosshairs on the mask so you can line up the shot.

Canon released a new version of the EOS 30d firmware. It’s available from their site.
The new firmware fixes a bug where the camera misreports how many shots are remaining in continuous mode and adds a semi gloss paper option for direct printing.

The Buster Brown No. 2A camera was made by the Ansco Company of Binghamton, New York and is part of a series of cameras - the No. 2, No. 2A, No. 2C, and No. 3. The “A” model takes 6 exposures of 2.25×3.24 inches while the “B” model took either 10 or 12 pictures [...]

Ok, this is pretty cool. The GorillaPod tripod will wrap around pretty much anything and hold your camera up. Sure, I probably wouldn’t put a full-sized camera on it, but the Joby website mentions a SLR and Pro version.

With digital taking over film and major manufacturers either getting out of the camera business (Minolta), dropping all but 2 film cameras (Nikon), or “considering” dropping film cameras (Canon); CNet is showing a slide show of film cameras from the past.

Buy.com has 1gb Kingston CF cards for $29.95 after a $9 rebate. I didn’t know Kingston was even making CF cards, but they’re pretty good as making memory so it should at least be decent.

On Februray 21, Canon released the next generation of their mid-level dSLR cameras, the DOS 30d. Aside from the name so closely resembling a previous generation, the d30, there is apparently some frustration from Canon fans on the seemingly small upgrades to the 30d over its predecessor, the 20d.

Got a kick out of this picture. I read somewhere you can tell the level of a photographer by the way he treats his equipment. An amateur will miss a shot because he’s worried about getting his camera scratched. A pro will get the shot and then worry about fixing the [...]
