1gb CF card for 30 bucks

Buy.com has 1gb Kingston CF cards for $29.95 after a $9 rebate. I didn’t know Kingston was even making CF cards, but they’re pretty good as making memory so it should at least be decent.

AutoViewer – New applet from creator of SimpleViewer

The creator of the SimpleViewer Flash applet – you’ve seen it even if you didn’t know what it was called – has created another great one called Auto Viewer. It displays images in linear series, much like a film strip. There is an example on his site.

Black & White Ferm from Zilker Park

This is an image from last year that I found while going back through my images. The color version was lacking, so I had skipped over it on first pass. But after converting to black & white, I found I really like the image.

Micron Technology to buy Lexar

Pending regulatory review, Micron Technology is going to purchase Lexar in a stock-to-stock merger. According to the press release linked below this is being done to allow Micron to control their production of flash memory devices from design through sales.

I suppose it’s a good sign. It must mean my little corner of the internet is at least getting linked to somewhere. Comment spammers have started hitting me pretty hard. Fortunately I moderate all the comments so they won’t show up. But it’s still a pain to deal with them.
