The more I stare at the images in the Far Side in Real Life image pool over at Flickr the more I want to do a few. I’ve always been in to the Far Side comics. It’s probably genetic. Pretty much everyone in my family has at least on of the books. And the “you can leave, but the dog stays” strip is screaming to be redone as a photo.
This one is probably my favorite from the set. Mostly because they spent the time to fill in the window with a cartoon sky.

So I’m back with a new theme and a little more motivation to keep this site up and going. I’m still as much of a photo geek as ever, so I’m going to see what I can do about keeping this site near the top of my projects list.

From the chronically cool site Photojojo comes instructions on how to turn an Etch A Sketch in to a picture frame.
Don’t worry if you’re like me and have a hard enough time managing a stairway on the Etch A Sketch, the site includes instructions on how to make any image look like it was created on an Etch A Sketch using a filter found in Photoshop.

Be sure to check out this Flickr gallery of Etch a Sketch art to see what can be done by somebody really good and drawing with two dials.
